Ben Gutenberg was a freshman at The College of William and Mary when he passed away on November 27, 2007, at age 18. This site has been established to carry on his memory. Please click on "Biography" to learn more about him.
March 6, 2009, was Ben's 20th brithday.
On June 6, 2009, the Rochester Fencing Club hosted a fencing tournament in Ben's memory followed by a ceremony where a bronze memorial plaque of Ben was dedicated. The plaque was mounted on a wall of the training area, looking out at the fencing strips. The ceremony was attended by Ben's friends from his fencing days at the RFC, his coaches, new fencers, and parents. Thanks to everyone who came, and to Colin Clinton and Iris Zimmerman who spoke at the dedication.
